Bob: You should put some links to Help for contributors page in your tutorial you're writing. We have a lot of overlap there, but I understand that you probably want a more streamlined version for your students. It may be helpful to link back, though. Copy this code in order to link back to a specific anchor (heading) within the main page:
[[Help for contributors#How to Upload Images|More Resources on Image Uploading]]
Gives: More Resources on Image Uploading

- Justin: Do emails get sent to people when this page is edited? And if so, which people? (I hope no one other than you and me)
- Bob: If you write on a specific User's Talk page, then that person will be updated. Only you received an e-mail (not me). And only on this specific page (User_Talk:Rebelford). If you want to have a communal page where everyone gets e-mailed when it is updated, then you have to have everyone click the "Watch this page" box (either at the top or bottom of the page depending on if you're editing or not).
- User pages are basically a great way to send each other messages in an e-mail like fashion, while still using wiki markup for links and the like. It may be useful to have your students contact you in this way. You can, of course, delete anything on here once you deal with concerns, or leave comments up for other people to read (like a FAQ page). Hopefully this helps! Jshorb 20:34, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
- (by the way - standard wiki procedure is to use increasing number of colons to indicate a reply, like a pseudo message board. Also, I should have put a title on my question so that it's clearly distinguished. I did that now.)
