Soil contamination is very important to us because we need it for food. The animals have to eat and we have to eat also. The farmers will not like it that the soil is contaminated because then they will not be able to harvest in the fall. The way the soil can be contaminated is by pouring things in the grass or yard that doesn't belong like oil and toxics. Without the soil we can not eat some things and without food we don't survive.
